DAVID E. BELL, PH.D.


 
 

David E. Bell is a professor at Harvard Business School. He holds the George M. Moffett chair of Business Administration and is chairman of the marketing department. He also runs two of the schools’ executive programs.

After twenty-seven years on the faculty David has developed expertise in a number of areas in addition to marketing, such as retailing, risk management, decision analysis and agribusiness. He has published many books and articles on these topics. The Decision Analysis Society of INFORMS awarded him the 2001 Ramsey Medal for distinguished contributions to the field.

David received his BA from Oxford University and a PhD from MIT. In addition to being a Principal of Rampell and Rampell, PA, he is on the board of Boston Acoustics Inc., and is a Senior Consultant with Charles River Associates. He lives in Boston, MA and Palm Beach, FL.
